2009 was all about trying to get to the World Championships in Australia!   It was the year of my 40th, so my whole family coming to cheer me on in Aus (and also a great excuse to go visit my brother and his girlfriend who live just 40minutes from the race!) was my 40th treat.

My first 2 races were in England (Worlds qualifiers), the next 2 in Canada, and then the final race in the Gold Coast, Australia – so 5 races, 3 continents in both hemispheres!

Canmore, Calgary, Canada – 1st in age group, 8th woman – 2hrs 34min

Little Beaver, England – 1st in age group, 15th woman – 2hrs 24mins

Grendon, England – 2nd in age group, 12th woman 1hr 17mins (Sprint Distance)
